UPS review by P McEvoy

I couldn’t actually rate your service, due to the fact that you have provided NONE. I was scheduled to receive a 75 lb package on 4/30, 5/1, and 5/2/19. I had someone waiting for 3 days for a delivery, and then the delivery notices stopped. I waited until 4/3/19 PM, and then called to inquire about the whereabouts of the items that were to be delivered. After @ 15 minute conversation with your representative, on the phone, he said he would submit an inquiry and begin a search. Truthfully, it seems basically useless to speak with someone you can barely understand, and hope you can solve a problem. I’m sure he also had trouble understanding me, due to the fact that we both kept asking for the other to repeat what they had said. But after speaking with your rep, he assured me someone would be in touch with me. A week later, I was actually contacted by another rep, and told that they would issue a claim, due to the fact that my delivery had bee lost on transit. I gave him my info, and told him the value of the pkg was $449 +tax. I spoke with him on 5/9/19. Obviously he has either quit or been fired, because as of today 5/29/19, I have heard nothing at all. I am now out @ $450, and no closer to a resolution than I was a month ago. I went to the UPS store #4541 ( Kingston NY ) to return a package that was erroneously sent to me ( of course ) and asked if they would have any info about the search for my pkg. Shockingly, they told me that that has nothing to do with them, and that I should try calling the toll free number I was given. I was also informed that, due to the fact it was a domestic delivery, I could be waiting up to 9 months !!! Well that reinstalled all my faith in UPS. There is no use in calling your automated system, due to the fact that no matter what tracking or claim number you give, the system tells you it doesn’t understand , and to try again. This odyssey has been a total waste of my time and efforts. Who knew it could take UPS as long as it takes a woman to deliver a full term child , 9 months, to deliver a package. I could see losing an envelope or a small package, but losing an 80 lb box is tad incredulous. Someone sooner or later should trip over this rather large item, wouldn’t you think? Or maybe, as we used to say “ I might have fallen off the truck”. Do I dare hope for a resolution of some sort from you at UPS ? Or should I expect the excuses and BS to continue ? As you can see, I have had plenty of time to write my review, as I continue to wait for a delivery of some sort. D
