Hermes review by Lizzy Barry

I've had several recent deliveries, things sent from "the hut group" usually arrive within 24-48hrs after purchase, with a text message to advise delivery window - which is great! However, items sent by eBay/Amazon etc through them often run into difficulties or hold ups, one courier even threw a parcel containing delicate items at my front door! Sounded like a bomb went off! Needless to say I reported him, especially as he "delivered" again a while later by throwing parcel from his car window towards my home - which bounced and hit my car, setting off the alarm... He even had the cheek to shout abuse at me. That was approx a year ago and he's not been here since, so assuming he got the sack! Recent deliveries have been made by a local guy & gal team, she drives while he delivers, both are friendly, cheerful, helpful and considerate (I have disabilities, so he ensures I've got a hold of parcels and steady footing etc). Can't help but feel sorry for them as I know through reputation that Hermes is a terrible company to work for and he was clearly over burdened recently, he kept apologising even though he hadn't done anything wrong, he was just visibly stressed and didn't wish to appear rude. If they had time for a tea break, I'd have offered them a cuppa! Only reason Hermes get any stars, is because of this recent delivery team - all previous staff and the company in general, have been awful - I can only hope that things are improving.
